Debugging Anger - the root cause

If you are angry then its due to lie. If you are angry then its on unreal. If you are stuck then its due to lie. In comparison you get stuck. In competition you get stuck.  In wanting more you are stuck. When you are stuck and not able to unstuck then you are angry.  If you are angry then its due to a lie.  If you are angry at something or someone then its unreal.  Your stomach pit is wrenching tight, you get mad at yourself “all these years of sadhana and spiritual practices seems to have failed.”. Then your tightness is a lie, your sadhana is a lie, your spiritual practice is a lie. Why waste rest of your life trying to fight a lie? What will you get if you win over a lie? What is the point of spending so much energy against a lie?  What will you prove in the end? That it was a lie. All along you have known its a lie and still you are spending time proving its a lie.  This world is full of lies. What is the po...

The History of Anger

It has been a difficult emotion, expressed indifferently and at unexpected moments in life. It has affected my parents, me, my spouse, my children, my colleagues and somebodies whom I have directly or indirectly interacted in past. But it was a call to the SBI call center which brought the anger expression into perspective. I had ignored my SBI current account for few months. I was out of freelancing since a while and there was not much action happening there. But I happen to see the yearly statement by chance while making a bill payment. I noticed that on 2 occasions the bank had fines me for around INR 650. Instantly sent them email. Not satisfied called them up. A lady agent received the call and explained that “rules say” If you do not maintain a minimum balance of INR 10000 per quarter you will be charged around INR 650 per quarter. I explained that I was not aware of the rule. She said, she cannot even take a complaint as it was crystal clear rule wh...

The venom dance

Even the snakes have tongues to spit venom lure  lust The snake hood flashes in the eyes before the blink strikes and blinds slowly taking away the moment of life In some lifetime when he had pride oozing with venom spitting left and right now the cycle reversed pride crushed by recurrent moments when the chest goes tight throat chokes navel wrenches inside to cause him tongue tied Even the नील कंठ has venom that neither goes to heart nor comes out in words is eternally held back Some days the mind is light and the sun is warm he raises the hood and slithers outside wading through green grass bathing through melting dews with human name and might A dead wood falls simply from the sky his head sinks into the dirt another moment of disappearing life

Anger management from #artofliving

You go to a parenting workshop and learn that we need to give space to our children when they are angry. Lets take Ram, a 8 year old. He is developing his ego, his likes and dislikes. He has a fight in school with some bullies. He is quite in his van while coming home. He throws the bag after reaching home. His mother starts Is that the way to keep your bag? Dont you have any respect for your books? Your books are saraswati. If you dont respect them you will become dumb. etc., you can add more in comments Now he learns that if something is screwed around you then you have to shout and give back. He goes to his room, bangs the door and shuts himself off. His mother has learnt to give him space, that is how his anger will simmer off. Once he has spent enough time with himself, he will become normal again. He comes out of the room after 2 hours. He is desperately hungry and needs something to eat. The father has come back from office. He has the latest update from mo...

Art of living satsang update

Make your anger very expensive, very precious. Nobody should be allow to buy it at any cost. Make your smile cheap. Just let it flow without being asked for. It is the only expression which is closest to your core nature. Knowledge comes to those who are in meditation. The c...

Life without judgements

How many times do you judge yourself? How many times do you judge people around you? How many times do you form opinions on situations that affect you? How many times do you form opinions on situations that do not affect you? You are not this. You are not that. She is like this. She is like that. I wish she could behave better. I wish my situation improves. Why is she shouting at me? Why is she doing this when I stopped her from doing so? How many times do I have to remind you not to do that again? I want you to improve. That is why I shout at you. I cannot tolerate you doing mistakes. How dare the auto whisked past me? How dare the auto driver is asking me for extra 10 rupees? How dare the auto driver refusing to go where I want to go? Doesn't the bus conductor have minimum courtesy? See, the cop stopped me to take a bribe. See, the clerk across the counter is smiling and talking about everything else except my file. Smells like bribe. STOP Just be in th...

मध्य मार्ग - live ashtavakra by Sri Sri RaviShankarji - Day 3
