Debugging Anger - the root cause

If you are angry then its due to lie.
If you are angry then its on unreal.
If you are stuck then its due to lie.

In comparison you get stuck.
In competition you get stuck.
In wanting more you are stuck.

When you are stuck and not able to unstuck then you are angry.
If you are angry then its due to a lie.

If you are angry at something or someone then its unreal.

Your stomach pit is wrenching tight, you get mad at yourself “all these years of sadhana and spiritual practices seems to have failed.”. Then your tightness is a lie, your sadhana is a lie, your spiritual practice is a lie.

Why waste rest of your life trying to fight a lie?
What will you get if you win over a lie?
What is the point of spending so much energy against a lie?
What will you prove in the end?
That it was a lie.
All along you have known its a lie and still you are spending time proving its a lie.

This world is full of lies. What is the point of looking with focus on the lies?

Where else can you spend your energies? Is there something real? Is there something you feel responsible for? Is there something you care?

You can either misuse knowledge of lies and become lazy and lethargic and go down the lane or you can take the lies head on, realize lies potency to disrupt life and move on, upwards.

I dont know where up goes but it seems like an intelligent choice.

That upwards journey is driven by faith.
You don’t know the path.
You don’t know the destination.
You just know that you have a support system there built by your master, your guru. You only have that guru tatva to hold on to, depend, trust.

I dont know why or how that faith needs to be built. But then it seems to help.

Maybe it will help in riding the uncertainties of the world.
Maybe it will help to understand that the world is a lie.
Events and people will not stuck you.
Maybe it will allow the free flow of intuition.
Maybe it will help you connect to the source.
(don’t ask me what source is, it sounds like a nice goal to have).

There is an infinite space that we don’t know.
The possibilities are more in believing in the unknown.

It’s worth spending your time and energy in knowing some aspects of the unknowable.

Don’t you think so?

Truth about the lies that cause anger

What is the root cause of anger?
If someone lies then we get angry with them.
If something was promised and not delivered we get angry.
If we wanted something and it did not get fulfilled then we get angry.

But if everything is lie then
where is
competition,
comparison,
complex (inferior/superior)

?

Can you pause for a while and reflect on the lies for a while?
What do you get?
Some
freedom,
sense of relief.

This knowledge can lead to being
careful or careless,
responsible or irresponsible.

I am dhaval, yet I am not
I am married, yet I am not
I am father, yet I am not
I am son, yet I am not

This world has some aspects which are real and some which are lies.

Yet this world is lies, and everyone here is bundle of lies.

This mind is full of lies, so many times the thoughts have betrayed us, yet we keep relying on it.

Love is the biggest lie.
Daily spiritual practices are lie.
Every thought born in mind is lie.
Every word spoken is a lie.
Even Gurudev is a lie.
Each of our question is a lie.
Each of his answer is a lie.
I am lie.

How do lies help in leading a truthful, fulfilling life?
If this knowledge is handled with care then it can take you to the realm from which Gurudev takes over.
A space where only faith can help you float once plunged.
A stroll in unknown can only be guided by someone who has been there.

You will exhaust if you get stuck in lies.
So you look inside, constructing path in unknown depths using only bricks and mortar of faith and trust.
You stabilize, become still for a while.
Then you are again in world of lies, only difference being that now you are unstuck, detached.

The ratio is 10:90 of outwards:inwards.

Yesterday Gurudev gave true insight into lies that are the root cause of our anger.
Today morning Nakul continues the thread and we found some truth about the lies that have mislead us.

Nakul ended the story that was first heard from Swami Pragyanand ji Maharaj.

A man was standing at a square. He did not know which turn to take. He saw two strangers walking towards him and then by passed him. While they neared he overheard their conversation from which he picked the direction which he wanted to take. So Guru Tatva is that principle via which an answer is found for a question which is not even asked. The man did not ask the question, yet he got the answer.

So if you think that Guru is just the physical presence then its a lie. And Gurudev was saying the truth when he said I am a lie.

The chit chat with Nakul happens again next sunday at sumeru mantap at 10 AM.
Be there.
Be blissed.

Intuition process - a journey into trust

It was disbelief.
It was scary.
I was stunned.
I did not know.

Its like the time when a child is born and brought in front of you for the first time.

Nature's mystery and miracle becomes evident.

The unknowable, unseeable makes its presence felt.

The knowledge gets a new definition. A definition without basis, without effort.

A skill simply is born. Simply appears. Simply is there.

And your fundamentals break, scatter. You are let groping in dark, again searching for light.

The journey restarts. The quest re-begins.

How else can you explain how intuition process works.

A little background.
Around a year back Gurudev introduced Intuition process as an art of living program to develop the sixth sense or the intuitive abilities in children in age group 8-18.

Immediately diverse results from children at various age started coming along. Some developed music, some sports skills, some could heal and some could go past and in future and predict with impossible accuracy.

I also got a chance to witness to second such program yesterday. Now they have opened the program for age group 5-8 also.

For the age group 5-8 the first day is for 1 hour. On second day, parents are allowed to come after 30 mins. I too entered as parent and was bewildered to see what kids could do blindfolded.

The ease with which they were playing templerun blindfolded was stunning. Turning, jumping, collecting coins, all in real time.

How will you explain a phenomenon like this?

Do we really need senses like sight to see or they only have ornamental value? They are just there so that your face has a selfie value. What is the utility for body? Is it just decorative distraction from reality?

Is acquiring knowledge beyond senses, beyond intellect, beyond memory, beyond ego? Or they are simply there for distraction?

From where does intuition comes, why is it so subtle? and why is it so accurate?

What is intuition?

What is its relationship with trust?

Sudarshan kriya as friend

Sudarshan kriya is your friend. It is there with you from your first breath to the last. And in every step that you take in life. The rhythm keep changing but they always come back to original.

Kriya gives you the experience that you most care of.
Kriya takes away and washes off the experience that you least care of but which still has been coming back. It clears you of your pain.

Step by step.
Everyday.
It takes you closer to your original being.
It gives you glimpses of your true self.
Just like a true friend, in good as well as in bad time kriya is there by the side.

Every morning it prepares you for the day.
Each day it helps to recover your life, your naturalness.

It has been your friend since time immemorial, and will continue to do so beyond your memory.

It is not just a breathing technique.
The technique is only disguise.
The truth of kriya is incomprehendible, beyond reason, beyond faith.

I dont know 99% of time why kriya works. Even in remaining 1% I am not sure 99% of time why kriya works.

Scientists and Doctors have listed harmones and physiological transformations that kriya can bring, some have even claimed that it can change the DNA.

But to me it does not matter.
What matters is what is.
What I see and hear and experience is what I care about.

And that journey with kriya is in continuum...

If you have not experienced the magic of kriya then please find out more at www.artofliving.org and take your first step on your path to self descovery.

Commentary on Chapter 11 of Bhagvad Geeta by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar ji - Day 1

The visvaroopa विस्वरूप दर्शन of divine happens when devotee is deeply connected. Has total trust and believes in the ways of unknown, unseen.

There are two kinds of people in the world.

One who are feeling helpless and hopeless that no matter what they do the earth is going to collapse.

Others who say that God is doing everything so what can we do and laze off, careless.

Both the extremities are not healthy.

Krishna says - I have taken care of this universe from time immemorial (सनातन काल से) and will continue to do so. There is a natural law which runs the entire show and it will continue to do so.

You just have to believe in that and continue doing your part with hope and help. That power is ever present to help you in every step of your life. Recognise it.

That grace is required to carry us through. Effort can only help us swim in calm waters but if there is rough sea then a helping hand is required. No matter how much effort you put as swimmer the sea will immerse you, drown you if you only believe in effort.

Have hope on the grace as its the only means to your natural end.

If you directly get into formless there would be suffering. Religions in the past which took on the formless have suffered both as individuals or as community too. Have a look at Moses, Prophet Mohammad’s life or his children or Sikh gurus life. Every one of them had so many difficulties in their life.

So it is recommended to go from form to formless.

That is what Arjuna requests in a state of contentment. After receiving all the knowledge of 10 chapters he is content. But the spirit of enquiry is still alive. Even in a state of contentment the state of enquiry needs to keep burning. From that space emerges 11th chapter of Bhagvad Geeta.

Arjuna says - If you think I am fit for it it then I request you to display your विस्वरूपा, your entire being that encompass whatever you have shared with me so far.

Sanjay narrates the dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna. He had developed this faculty of taking his attention to any place and witnessing it as if in person. Therefore, he could narrate Bhagvad geeta to King Dhritarashtra.

Gurudev mentioned about the intuition process that is being taught to kids. Kids are able to see events happening distantly at same time or in future.

Gurudev warned that its only a faculty that is illustrating its qualities when being refined. Sanjay too had it like the kids who have gone through intuition process have it these days. Opening of third eye does not mean enlightenment. It only means one more dimension has opened up to witness the beauty of nature. Leave it that and continue your quest for enlightenment.

Its important to transcend this dimension and not be stuck in this world. This world is a minuscule part of what is there to experience.

Our world is defined by our five senses. They only gather a limited portion of of the divine display.

"When did the mirage appear?” is a foolish question to begin enquiry. Your basis for starting journey will be weak if you get stuck “When did this world begin?” There is no beginning nor end and neither middle to this world because it only appears.

Whatever we are holding on to, all the experiences, all the events of past, are nothing compared to life of the being.

Whatever our eyes have seen, or the ears have heard or the tongue has tasted or skin has touched is nothing to what the divine has to offer.

Whatever air we have breathed is nothing in comparison to what is there on on this planet.

So, why don’t you realise that this minuscule gathering of yours and drop them, becoming free from them, preparing for a much grander show. Meditate.

All the देवास, the divine energies in their glory are not somewhere there. They are always here. They play here, all the time. Whether you see it as such or ignore it is your problem, the show will go on.

Sometime or other in life you would have felt that this cannot be the work of somebody as human as them, there is a better planner behind all this. They might be intelligent and gifted but for this to happen a higher authority is required. who are these forces, behind the scenes, always engaged but invisible.

We have to fine tune to these other frequencies to get into another dimension. Dimensions which are more grander and spectacular than whatever we have witnessed in our defined world.

That witnessing is of formless in form.
Effort is needed to link to form. Grace is needed to melt the form. Merging only happens in presence of Master, your Guru.

Arjuna could see through the transparent body of krishna all the  देवता divine energies, many arms, many weapons, ornaments, everything that ever was or will be in all its grandeur.

But the रूप (vision) shown like thousands suns at same time and the energy was too much for Arjuna’s body to take. He got scared and requested lord to come back to normalcy.

How was your meditation today?
Did you crossover to another dimension? Did you get a portion of viswaroopa विस्वरूप? Either as sound or light or taste of nectar or ...

The above is summaries from talk given by HH Sri Sri Ravishankar ji at Art of living international ashram in Bangalore on 13th August, 2016 at around 11:30 AM. When will you get enlightened? - from Yoga Vasistha knowledge series

The last question of the session was
Who decides when I get enlightened?
< Nakul's Answer came spontaneously as >
You.
Its YOU.
Ok, its time to wrap up. Next session is on sunday 31st July at 9PM. Jai Gurudev.

Baffled.
Confused.
Broken.
I was lost.
All my definitions were flying in the sky, scattered clouds.
Mind was unsettled.
How can it be?
How can I decide when I want to be enlighten?
Is it so straightforward?
Is it so easy?
What about karmas?
What about grace?
Mind was flooded with queries.
.
.
.
The best type of answers don't have questions.
The deepest questions have no answers.
.
.
Who is this YOU that Nakul was referring to?
Was it me in my current disposition?
Will it be me in some future evolved disposition?
Where will I be and what will I be in order to be THE YOU that Nakul was referring to?
.
.
story time
.
.
Gadhi was a pious brahmana who once lived in Kosala. He went to the forest and meditated for 8 months. When Lord Vishnu appeared he granted him the boon to observe maya as he would and disappeared. He contemplated on the boon.

One morning Gadhi went to the river and took a dip while praying. As he was under water he found that he was dead and leaving his body. Everyone was grieving around him. He moved on and entered the womb of a tribal women. He was born as Katanja, a fierce tribesman who had got married and had many children. There was a famine in the village and all his children and friends died one by one. He got frustrated and left the village.

He reached the Kingdom of Kira where the King had died without heir and the royal elephant was searching for next King. The elephant lifted him and he was made the King Gavala who ruled for 8 years.

One day King Gavala got up early and unadorned in royal dress went out for a walk like simpleton. A group of tribesmen were singing a tribal melody. He picked the tuned and started to hum. An elder tribesman recognized him and proclaimed "Hey Katanja, am delighted to see you, long time".

By then everyone relaized that they were ruled by a lowly tribal and created a large pyre and immersed themselves in it. Even Katanja felt that death is better than life. Dishonored he offered his body to flames.

Gadhi came out of water gasping for breath. He was confused at this vision and thought it to be trick of the mind. As he reached home he found a Brahmana traveller looking for a place to stay. He welcome him and asked him why did he looked so worn. The traveller said he was coming from a kingdom in north which was ruled by a tribal and many people killed themselves feeling polluted. I too have been fasting to release ill effects of this pollution and am breaking the fast today.

Gadhi was lost. Next day he went north and first found his tribal village with bones around. On enquiry the villagers told the story of Katanja. Then he moved on to Kira and the people there talked about King Gavala who ruled them 12 years ago.

Confused Gadhi meditated and prayed to Lord Vishnu.
Lord Vishnu came along and asked him, now what? Gadhi enquired about what he saw.
Lord Vishnu mentioned

Sometimes its possible to many people to witness the same dream. They participate in it as if it were they. This hallucination is creation of the mind. So even though it may be true that all these people may have appeared in past and participated in those events you may/may not have been center of those worlds. Now meditate for 10 years and you will come out of all these hallucinations.
.
.
someone asked
How is it that experience with Lord Vishnu was not itself an illusion?
Nakul's answer
When the mind is integrated, focused, it is then truth appears. Truth in the form of Lord Vishnu. This generally happens in puja/prayer, in meditation.
When the entire YOU is offered as offering to the puja. When the COMPLETE YOU does the puja, only then reality appears. Until then its the scattered mind, all over the place.  Walking from one illusion to another.
.
.
Its like a table full of laptop, notebooks, pen stand, etc., flooded with items essential for daily work to happen. You need them when you work. In  प्रवृत्ति pravarti you need them. When you are participate in world you need them.
but you don't need them in निवृत्ति /nivratti, when you retreat inside, go in. Even knowledge has to be discarded while going in. All items on tables are useless while going in. Just swipe them away and empty the table. Discard all and enquire what comes up during retreat, during meditations.
If you feel something and be something, enquire it, observe. Keep throwing them away like jackets. Jackets have a purpose in cold chilly outside world but inside makes no sense. Even this body makes no meaning during retreat, like a jacket discard it, move on from body consciousness.
Once you have discarded all then what remains is reality, the real you, the truth.
And it can happen only in meditation. And the meditation is the only self-effort you need. Everything else is secondary, add-on. Primary is your self-effort, self-enquiry. There YOU can decide when to become enlighten.

Freeing the mind and egolessness - from Yoga Vasistha knowledge series

The subtle combo of mind+intellect+memory+ego runs in self-feeding cycle.

Ego brings forth the I-ness.
Ego nudges the memory to bring into focus an incident/situation in which it triumphs or suffers. Memory nudges the intellect to argue on the situation. Intellect creates the argument and prepares the mind to have the argument. The mind comes into existence with the thoughts germinated in the intellect. The thoughts hail or destruct the ego. And the journey of life begins. You are born.

Why are you born?
A little story.
Once Vishnu was in BrahmaLok and everyone came forth to welcome him except Sanath Kumar. When you get "don't care" in dispassion then its arrogance. Vishnu sensed this and cursed SanathKumar to spent one lifetime on Earth as punishment, as a journey to dissipate this arrogance/egoness. At that moment SanathKumar also cursed Vishnu to spent a lifetime on Earth while he was there and so Shree Ram was born.

So tell me why were you born? hmm..

Even Vishnu is sport enough to participate in this Game of life. So what makes you abhor it?

Heres one more story for your musings.
Once Demons Guru's Shukracharya mother (Rishi Bhrigu's wife) was protecting them and they could not be defeated so the Angels went and seeked Vishnu's help. Vishnu killed Brigu's wife and angels could defeat the Demons again. But Bhrigu grieved in the loss and cursed Vishnu that the pain that I am going through even you will go through on Earth. And thus Sita was separated from Shree Ram.

I-dent-ity == I --> DENT --> इति (the end)
Meditation is denting the I and bring it to an end. The entire life is given to fulfil this mission.
Even the above denting of ego definition was born in the morning Sadhana (Sahaj Samadhi meditation + Padma Sadhana + Sudarshan Kriya + Pranayamas + Surya Namaskars in reverse order).

Ego is about creating an identity. A definition based on certain like/dislike at that point in time. So you become that definition.

My definition at this point in time could be "I am very sensitive, don't like loud music, abhor non-veg, feel pity for people who smoke/drink liquor, life without Guru would be meaningless".

My definition of my ego at college days could be "I like blaring music into my headphones, a smoke here and there is fine, Nature is my Guru and I don't need any human intervention".

Ego likes shrinking, creating separation, building boundaries, limiting expression.

Egolessness is about destroying these likes/dislikes. Its about expansion, union, breaking barriers, unlimited expression.

Experiencing the infinite in this finite form is no mind (free mind).

There you need a little hand holding, because you are getting into a realm which is beyond. That is why you need a Guru, a master to take you across this river. A river sometimes serene and sometimes on fire. The source of this river like mind is ego.  The journey of the river is this life. The destination is one more attempt to merge with the ocean of consciousness. But if the waves of arrogance continue in the ocean then they evaporate and form clouds, hit the mountains and become source of river again. And the cycle continues.

Purpose of life - from Yoga Vasistha knowledge series

The purpose of life is to be liberated.

Your life is designed for liberation.

The life is a progression towards liberation.

Q> What is liberation from?
A> It is from your ego.

Q> Who is the guardian of ego?
A> The mind.

Q> Can you compare this progression of life to something?
A> Its like the river cleaning the impurity thrown into it and making it spotless, clean. It is the nature of the river to clean. After some travel the impurity becomes pure, loses its identity, loses its ego. You just merge.

Q> Need another example, not so clear?
A> Imagine a fire in the forest. Wood burning and smoke rising. The smoke can rise only to certain height, the smoke will travel certain distance. After some rise, some travel, it disappears into the space. It simply merges, loses its identity.

Our life is also like that. Its an opportunity for us to paint on an empty canvas. It's upto you to make this progression enjoyable or full of hassles. We may drag life or we can enjoy life. In either case it will end.
But before it ends what have you done to accelerate the decay of ego-self.

There is only one board exam or 10th class exam. Once you clear it in life you do not give it again. You may go back to teach for 10th class but never to give the exam.

Once you attain liberation, the life force lifecycle is within you. The prana is within you. All the liberated beings are here, either in form or formless.

The History of Anger

It has been a difficult emotion, expressed indifferently and at unexpected moments in life.

It has affected my parents, me, my spouse, my children, my colleagues and somebodies whom I have directly or indirectly interacted in past.
But it was a call to the SBI call center which brought the anger expression into perspective.

I had ignored my SBI current account for few months. I was out of freelancing since a while and there was not much action happening there.
But I happen to see the yearly statement by chance while making a bill payment. I noticed that on 2 occasions the bank had fines me for around INR 650.
Instantly sent them email. Not satisfied called them up. A lady agent received the call and explained that “rules say”
If you do not maintain a minimum balance of INR 10000 per quarter you will be charged around INR 650 per quarter.
I explained that I was not aware of the rule.
She said, she cannot even take a complaint as it was crystal clear rule which I should have been aware of.
This is the moment in the call when logic fails and you take alternate path of force to enforce your point. At this juncture some people choose to
  1. raise their voice and make their point
  2. verbally abuse
  3. etc.,
I too had reached that point of inflection. On any other day I would have used the loudness of voice and sharpness of logic to cut through the point, even though here I was on wrong side.

Last few days I had been building a case of “shouting culture” at work place and how it is destructive for healthy growth of any organizations. Some people believe that a certain degree of fear and angst drives people to become more productive.
My developing theory against shouting culture was that
  1. it emotionally breaks an individual
  2. it kills their enthusiasm
  3. the drive to contribute to the welfare and development of idea/product/service fades
  4. the confidence goes out of window
  5. the nerves can touch breakdown point
  6. etc.,

Now coming back to the bank complaint call. I was on the verge of displaying vocal violence. At that precise moment this knowledge came from somewhere.
Its okay if I shout but its not ok if others shout on me.
I was stunned. Every one in past had complained about my mis-managed expression of anger. Now in that moment this realization moderated my tone and I continued with the complaint in most gentlemanly manner.
I requested to talk to her superior and explained to poor manager that
Customers can also be dumb and stupid. They can forget rules and regulations that banks impose. Banks are also equally responsible for not informing the ignorant customer about a rule miss, before, during and after the rule has been missed. And not make this as their primary business model.
For the first time in all complaints in my life I had felt that this fine of INR 1300 had opened my eyes to a different expression of anger. The anger in which you make your point in a manner which it is as human as can be under the circumstance and still don’t feel the pinch of losing out.

How has mis-managed anger helped/disrupted your life?
Do you think there is a link between meditation and knowledge surfacing at the right moment?

Happy new year 2073

A first time to banasankari amma’s temple at bangalore.

The morning of April 8, 2017 was spent with special participants of art of living happiness programme at RBI Layout center.

The evening was to be in art of living satsang led by dearest Swami Suryapada ji (otherwise known as Chayyana ji, with love).

Started walking to the temple. The first few Bangalore auto wallahs ignored. One well dressed and young one of them stopped and demanded INR 80, almost double. Another, shabbily dressed and middle aged simply switched on the meter.

Entered temple. Not knew which direction to take. Where to keep the footwear? Some feet were bare and going in, searched for ones not bare and followed them. Suddenly, the footwear stand appeared on the left end of the temple.

Saw the banner declaring satsang in kannada along with photos of Sri Sri and Chayyanna. The stage was getting set.

Suddenly saw one of the AOL happiness programme participant there. She said she came to meet Amma. I was confused. Her mother. Kept talking to gather more. She said she comes here every/most fridays to meet Amma. They lit lamp made of emptied half cut lemon and offer it to Amma.

Only then it struck.
Amma is mother divine, banasankari devi. It felt like GOD is part of our family.
Saw one BIGGER queue and another smaller. Quckly got into the smaller one and was face to face with Amma, riding on her tiger, with Ganesha and Shiva linga on both sides.

Chayyanna was also offering his prayer with the temple priests while I was gazing at the mother divine.

As I came out of main temple, I saw a car park. I had dared to come in auto and here I was meeting a car park inside a temple premise. A rare but pleasing sight. I kept walking to left and was led into the stage of satsang, sat in front, facing the satsangies and beside the loudspeaker.

Chayyana came in, sat in middle of stage. Another set of veena players mesmerised by their art and were honored before we got into satsang, which was heavenly.

Chayyana satsang transports you into another world. A world where music and the lyrics carries your weight.
Release you of your burden.
Make you light.
Make you electric.
Sooth your nerves.
bliss happens, effortlessly.

Chayyana translates some of the bhajans/keertans. One such story is here.
When the bhakta/devotee is lying and singing in praise of the lord, the divine sits beside him and listens.
When the devotee is sitting, the divine stands up, dances and listens.
When the devotee stands up, the divine simply merges with them.

Another poem, translated meant.
O Mother, let the jasmine flower fall from you (a sign that mother divine has listened and will fulfill my desires.)
What are my desires?
  1. let the young ones find suitable matches for marriage.
  2. let there be children in the home.
  3. let the home echo the sounds of anklets coming from little feets of my daughter.
  4. let anyone who comes, always find food and nourishment in my home.

How to explore the space as team?

Most times you want to lead. It creates a pressure on you to think, direct and move in certain direction. It is difficult not to lead.
Then facilitator instructs you, Now try not to lead.
Pause.
Allow not to be lead.
Wait.
Some moments of awkwardness happen. The impulse to lead dilutes. The effort to direct dissolves. The wait becomes bearable. And then you allow to be lead.
Then the facilitator instructs you.
There comes a time when you are not leading nor being led and simply the movement happens. The rules of movement still hold but the movement is unrestricted.
Then you simply flow in the space.
Together as team you explore the space.
Share. Learn. Move. Unafraid. Unjudged.
Like you river your path happens. The jungle of risks, smoothens. The stones of challenges weather.

The above thoughts were born out of a team workshop conducted by Preeti Sunderajan, CEO of GAIT. Reach out to her if you need to smoothen out the rough edges from your teams wings and allow them to soar.

Meditating on gravitational waves

The gravitational waves were detected by LIGO. They predicted that it came from a violent incident billion of light years ago.  A confirmation of something which Einstein had theorised a century ago.

I wonder at construction of  LIGO, the instrument which has measured this phenomenon.

The key to LIGO's success is its ability to be sensitive even with so much noise around. The earth, atmosphere, Sun and all cause so much noise to distract it from hearing what it was meant to hear. And scores of scientists spent years of effort and governments spent millions to make it so that it can hear. Hear what it was made to hear, ignore noise.

We too have a similar instrument called mind. It is meant to hear the gravitational waves. It can stretch and compress, move in multi-dimension. But most of the while it is lost in the noise.

So we have meditation. In ancient India rishis meditated. Years of rigorous practice had fine tuned their range of frequency to listen. They could hear the origin of universe. They expressed it in verses, composed it in sound. The knowledge was codified and came to be known as Vedas.

A scientific temperament and yogic practices could allow human mind to travel in time, bent time/space. And rediscover what the mind has known for so long.

Meditations stills the mind.
Makes it sensitive, aware.
It causes discovery.
It invents.
It reveals.
The secrets.
Of Universe
Of Space
Of time

Try it and let us know.
Now is the best time to silence the mind, using mind.

An autobiography of rocking chair

I am not rock, James Rock.
I don't hurt nor people throw me around.
Rather they settle down on me.

Some hold my hands, some just drop their weight onto me, some swing and glide before settle and sing song on me.

They all come to me because they like to move to and fro. They cannot be still. I let them move so that something in them settles.

I was born long time ago in the great human mind of probably Benjamin Franklin. Some say it could be before but I don't recall.

I am just a little chair that can hold you like your mother when you were infant. She rocked you in her arms. I rock you in my lap.

Tired and lost
Fresh and bubbly
low or high
contemplative or chatter
morning or night
take a small flight
to and fro
wavering and then
settle down

I am your little rocking chair, in your garden, balcony or living room, matching or in contrast, waiting for you.
